Direktflüge Erweiterung Hurghada 2024-2026
Neue Flugrouten unterstützen den Tourismus.
The expansion of direct flight routes to Hurghada International Airport has been nothing short of transformative. From approximately 18 European cities with direct connections in early 2024, the route network has grown to over 40 cities by mid-2025, with total weekly seat capacity increasing 85% over the same period.
Route Network Growth
Germany leads with direct service from 7 cities. The United Kingdom now has flights from 5 airports (London, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, Glasgow). Poland offers connections from 4 cities. New routes from Scandinavia, the Benelux countries, and Central Europe have opened previously untapped buyer markets. Seasonal summer routes from additional cities are becoming year-round services.
Low-cost carriers including Ryanair, Wizz Air, and Eurowings have been the primary drivers of capacity growth, alongside expanded service from traditional carriers like EgyptAir, Lufthansa, and TUI.
Property Market Impact
Real estate agents consistently report a strong correlation between new route announcements and increased buyer inquiries from the connected cities. Markets that gain direct flights see a measurable uptick in property viewings and transactions within 3-6 months of the route launch.
“Every new flight route is essentially a pipeline for property buyers. The moment a city gets direct access to Hurghada, our inquiry volume from that city increases 3-5x within a quarter.”

Future Pipeline
The Hurghada International Airport expansion, scheduled for completion in mid-2027, will double annual passenger capacity to 15 million. This expanded capacity is expected to support further route additions, particularly from North America and Asia, as Hurghada positions itself as a year-round global tourism destination.
